Pros

- Gives back to the community frequently with charitable donations. - Group of highly talented individuals across all teams that are eager to learn. - Great health insurance and benefits. - Fair compensation. - Flexible WFM/In-Office days. - Cares deeply about their clients and the success of their business.

Cons

- No HR department to hold party's accountable. - A culture of favoritism. - Not given autonomy or empowerment to make decisions. - Micromanagement in leadership. - Leadership calls the shots, one-sided feedback loop. - Leadership takes credit for others ideas/does not give credit when credit is due. - Closed minded to try new things, does not foster innovation and change. - Individuals are either burdened with immense amounts of work, or given too little work and have to find time to fill up their day. - Lack of clear expectations when it comes to things that would traditionally be set by an HR department (ex. dress code, COVID-19 policy, bereavement, etc.)

I really wanted this to be a great company to work for, but it just wasn't.

Pros

Great location, interesting clients, smart people to work with.

Cons

Upon accepting this job, I was so excited. The agency made themselves look awesome on their website and socials, the work seemed exciting and they are newer which I thought would be fun to be a part of. However, after a few months, I quickly realized this place was not worth it. To begin, salaries are low. I get it, they are a newer agency and need time to grow their profit, however, they do pay significantly lower than other shops. In addition, the benefits are awful- which again, is understandable but just something to keep in mind. However, the part that was the most disappointing was the culture. From the first day, the entire place is just cold. There was no warm welcome, no one really came over and introduced themselves and no one seemed to be enjoying themselves. The most shocking part was the CEO, Justin. I was sitting at my desk, a new employee, and he came up and talked to the guy sitting right next to me and didn't even introduce himself or say hello. There are roughly 20 people that work here. The CEO should know everyone. From there, I quickly learned that the agency is just very clicky. If you aren't one of the few that started with the company, you have to work hard to be part of 'the team'. Some days felt like I was in high school. Lastly, only join this agency if you want to be babysat. You are expected to be at literally everything, even if it is marked as optional. There is no trust that you will just get your work done as an adult should. They reward people for filling out their time cards by providing snacks. Overall, I really did just feel like I was back in school.

Feedback is always appreciated. It's how we get better. Re: Warm Welcomes - onboarding during a pandemic certainly presented challenges; however, we always place the utmost importance on welcoming and onboarding new employees. We welcome any suggestions you might have. Re: Top-down culture - a good note. The intention is anyone can have influence on what we're becoming. We'll continue pursuing transparency and collaboration. Thanks again for your feedback.
