Pros

You will work with some of the smartest, most motivated, and friendly people that you have ever met. The company spends a lot of resources on recruitment, and it pays off. (Unfortunately most of those people are also going to leave. More on that in cons.) Company offers a relatively flexible work arrangement, and allowed doing personal errands during working hours, as long as you made up for the lost work. Also allowed working from home on occasion, which is a huge plus. Great company events, and accommodation when travelling between the different offices. Decent starting salary, and vertical career progression thanks to the many layers of management.

Cons

Corporate bullsh*t is rampant. There's a severe lack of transparency and candor in the company. Middle managers routinely obscure problems on the ground from higher levels of management. Suggestions for improvement are largely ignored. If you genuinely care about your work, this kind of environment is hell, and accounts for the high turnover of the best people. Values are created by some over paid HR consultancy, intentionally vague, and force fed to the staff. Essentially the opposite of companies with great culture. The fact that you can easily retrofit a value onto any decision is seen as a good thing. No horizontal career progression. If you want to be a specialist, this is not the company for you. Your salary increase will be kept barely on par with inflation with a yearly "PDD", which serves little purpose other than to stump salaries.

Pros

none - unless you value arrogance, abuse and being everyone's carpet

Cons

No HR support, people are obliged to perform duties totally different from their contracts, take it or leave it. People are valued the same as bugs, unless part of the new management who brought people in place of very capable employees, who are now humiliated and downgraded to the lowest extent. How does the NetEnt board approve on this, I don't know, but it is shameful and disgusting all over.

Pros

* A general feeling of people wanting to do good. * Amazing , talented colleagues * Breakfast on mondays * Friday beer sometimes at game releases * Payed cell phone (all calls, internet and text messages included) * Very central location at the office * Access to the rooftop * Massage at the office (not free but subsidized) * A jackpot-shop where you can spend NetEnt coins * Good office parties * Ping pong table, shuffleboard, ps4 * Access to a parking garage in central stockholm (not free but subsidized)

Cons

It's hard to think with all the Pros that there are any cons, there are however plenty of them. - Management * Extremely(I can't stress this word enough) incompetent managers. NetEnt has a habit of making people managers because they either want to leave or they have been in the company too long so they kind of have to make them managers if they apply for the role. Not at all considering if the person fits the part. * Managers do not want to make any desicions about anything and there are no expecations from their own managers to actually do a good job. * Very low level of appreciation from the managers. * The managers do not listen to you at all. * Any problem you have will somehow be "forgotten" or deflected by the manager (not all managers). * If you need help with something, instead of helping you the manager will ask you how you can solve the problem yourself, this may sound good but it gives a certain feeling that your manager actually doesn't care about your problems. - Organization * Completely dysfunctional. No one knows what they are responsible for. No one knows what they are supposed to do because there are no expectations and defined roles at NetEnt. You have a role, but basically no role description. * The POs are basically gods and no one can criticize or question their decisions. Same goes for the senior management group. * There has occured sexual harassment and racial slurs at NetEnt. NetEnt has sometimes acted on this and sometimes not. * Too much corporate BS and politics. You often get in to struggles when wanting to change something and need to sit down in countless meetings instead of actually focusing on the work. * Too many of the same initiatives ongoing in different departments and no cooperation between them. * Many people just having BS roles and not actually creating value. * The feeling in the office has really gone down hill since the stocks lost value. * Not a competative salary and benefits as others in the business compared to the amount of workload. * The CEO has a very negative outlook on things and have actually ranted about how bad some games have performed and blamed the game team that created the game instead of the PO that ordered it.
