Pros

Good Salary and other benefits in general.

Cons

You are expected to work 24hrs a day and if you have a young family they will suffer. You have no say, you just have to do what the boss wants without asking questions even if it is wrong. A boss can institute a disciplinary against you but there is no grievance process for staff. You are 100% at the mercy of your boss and the only way to be happy is to adopt the "yes Boss" culture.

Horrible work culture

Pros

Decent salary and exposure to China, for those who are working in HQ in Shanghai

Cons

Horrible and toxic culture, terrible work ethics. Lack of professional growth opportunities. The Bank serves as a stables for pre-retirement age bureaucrats from BRICS countries who get senior management positions by nomination from the governments, not by selection based on merits. Very hierarchical work culture and no say for professional staff.
