Avoid at all costs

Pros

The amazing colleagues you will work with. However, they are leaving at a rate of knots.

Cons

Employees are not valued The new CEO and his immediate team work as dictators and do not listen or value anyone else opinions. No career development A toxic environment. I can think this has been out in place to encourage people to leave to avoid redundancy costs. All employees understand the business needs to change but how it is being handled is appalling!

Avoid at all costs if you value your mental health

Pros

The nice people who are left after waves of redundancies. Salary and bonus. If you don’t mind being devalued, losing your confidence and being deskilled, or just want to ride it out to retirement, then this is the place for you!

Cons

Where to start… Leadership is inept and relies on reams of consultants to make decisions for them. They are making people redundant but spending excessively on consultants who tell them what their permanent staff have been telling them for years. Their preference is to upskill consultants rather than their own staff. Leadership is like a boys club. A real lack of diversity. Women are only seen to be useful for clerical roles. Challenging management will have consequences. You will be first on the list of redundancies. They are trying to get people back into the office 3 days a week into an environment that is sterile and toxic. Pure myopia. They throw in the words mental health and well-being but don’t back them up with anything remotely tangible. All words and no action. If any company is a glowing example of stigmatising mental health then this is it. I used to enjoy working for this company but the new executive board has destroyed everything it used to be good for. I am not adverse to transformation and change but it could have been a lot better managed.
