Pros

-great people -great way to learn sales fast -D2D experience looks great on your resume when you look for an actual career

Cons

All of these multi level marketing companies are just full of false hope. For starters, interviewers present you with what seems like an incredible opportunity to make a lot of money and eventually be your own boss. But it's just not realistic. What actually happens is that you go door to door trying to convince people that AT&T is a better product than Charter. It is commission only. If you don't sell, you don't eat. It is physically and mentally draining. While you are going door to door, you are using your own car and your own gas with no reimbursement. You will also be knocking on doors in the dark which I promise you is not fun. North doesn't always provide you with permits for your territories, so getting run of by the cops is a regular occurrence, which is a testimant to how unprofessional this business is. On a stellar week, you might make $600. After taxes you're looking at $500. Factor in gas and expenses you're left with $400. If you divide that by the 60 hours you work in a week you're making about $7 an hour, and that's on a good week. Do not take this job if you're looking to get rich, this job should be viewed strictly as experience for your next job.

Reviewer, We are sorry that you had a negative experience working with us here at North Inc. Over the years, we have helped many individuals develop their business skills and watched as they became their own boss. However, attaining this goal is difficult and takes time. We are a merit-based company, meaning our people's work ethic and productivity determine their paycheck. It is clear that our opportunity wasn't the right fit for you, and that is entirely understandable! Hopefully, you have found a position better suited to your career wants and needs. Thank you for sharing this feedback!! Sincerely, North Inc Management Team

Pros

Work hard. Play hard. Learned self-discipline, D2D Sales, D2D interviewing skills, D2D training, and I received bonuses for my sales ( 100% commission) from AT&T because I hit my goals.

Cons

The CEO of the company is no one I would follow. She has the accountability but a hypocrite with her actions. Her fake demeanor makes her unapproachable and hard to trust. I would have followed my trainer if it wasn’t for the CEO.

As much I would like to thank you for writing positive things about our company and opportunity in the Pro section of the review, I am shocked at how outright disrespectful you were in your review. It seems to me your review was provoked by an emotional decision. I would like to make it clear to other people reading this review that clearly this review is opinion based and an example of an unfortunate lack of character. Like you said, first impressions are key and your review does not create a good impression for you. Writing rude and slanderous things means that you, yourself have a lack of integrity, and lack of awareness. Regardless of your personal feelings of the CEO, personally attacking someone is never the answer. We hope that you find solace, and wish you the best of luck in your job search.

Pros

You will make friends with your coworkers quickly

Cons

You work 60 hours, 6 days/week It's all door-to-door sales Entirely commissions based Most weeks you only make about $300/ paycheck No benefits (Health ins, vacation, etc) Basically have to beg to have a Saturday off They make you go to "office night" and "team night" every Tuesday/Thursday after work at 10pm and claim that it's "bonding time" because you don't get to see your coworkers during the regular work day They make you drive your personal car everywhere and don't reimburse for gas They claim you will evolve into management within 1 year, however you actually don't get a pay increase when you make it to management. You just have to manage more employees while trying to make all of your sales in a day.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to grow and improve our business. We are glad to see that you enjoyed working with our team and became friends with them quickly. It is important for us to maintain an environment that is team oriented and where our employees can collaborate well together. However, I do want clarify some of this things you've mentioned. We have a consistent weekly schedule. As in many sales positions, some reps choose to work later or extra days. You get out what you put in. All of our sales are lead based. The position does involve some travel as you go to meet with specific, assigned leads. There are two pay structures. For someone who does choose full commission, the position and weekly earnings are what each individuals make of it. We have numerous representatives make well over $1000 dollars a week because they have implemented their training and are willing to put in the work. On a separate note, we don't make anyone do anything. It would be impossible. Office Night and Team Night, however, are encouraged. Most people enjoy coming to work more when they care about and like their co-workers. You even said yourself you made friends quickly in the office most likely due to spending time outside of the office bonding. Lastly, yes we are looking for someone to progress into a management position within 12-14 months. As someone progresses we expect them to develop the qualities to be able to effectively manage their time and team members. Just like most companies, as someones responsibilities increase, so does their pay. It seems like you didn't spend enough time working with us to understand the training process, expectations, and what compensation and responsibilities really look like for our managers. I'm sorry if we failed to set the right expectations for you when you came into our company, and if you felt like we somehow misled you. We care very much about the experience our employees have with us, their development, and how this position impacts their life. I'm also sorry that you didn't feel comfortable enough to express these concerns while you worked with us. If you had we could have worked together to help you meet all of your needs. I hope the skills you took away from here help you land the position you were hoping for elsewhere. Best of luck in the future. Please contact if you have any further feedback or suggestions about your experience with us. hr@5northinc.com or 314-875-2733
