Pros

-If you're on a lease-up you'll make a lot of money. -Rent discount is slightly higher than other companies (if they don't find an excuse to not give it to you) -They develop and manage their own properties, which are all very unique and have lots of amenities. -They have the infrastructure and resources to grow to be the one of the best if they wanted to -Health insurance is decent and affordable for an individual

Cons

Immense lack of support from upper management despite high expectations. They expect you to devote your life to this company and will have no problem taking advantage of you and helping themselves to your personal resources/time. Free time? Forget it, you'll be working an event or coming in early to do someone else's job. Unfortunately, you'll only be accepted by management if you're willing to drink their kool-aid and play their games. Management has no problem making you feel less than for the smallest things and when you need help, almost as if they want to watch you fail. Some employees get by doing the bare minimum, breaking rules/policies, and taking credit for other associate's work, yet there is no accountability if that person is friends with the right manager. C-level employees spend more time watching the cameras in the office (that record audio at all times - and yes, they're always listening) to attempt to catch you doing or saying something they don't like, than actually do the most basic parts of their jobs. There was absolutely no morale or feeling appreciated at the property I worked at. A complete shame, because every single employee was spread far too thin and underpaid for the amount of work thrown on them. In addition to rampant favoritism and lack of accountability, they also couldn't care less about the safety and wellbeing of their employees during the COVID- 19 pandemic. Sure they'll send you some sanitizing spray and wipes every now and then to keep at your desk, but then will turn around and make their employees work resident events with 100+ people for the sake of a "signature resident experience". I can understand wanting to prevail and push forward during this time, but find a balance that doesn't put people at risk. Offices have remained open to the public during the whole pandemic and residents/prospects have been able to wander into the office for every little thing, without a mask. Every other company has implemented ACTUAL safety procedures and strictly enforced them. NWR has not. They do not care what's really going on at site level as long as their social media pages look pretty.

Pros

They try to have a good culture by doing annual events and birthday celebrations once a month. There are some great employees who work there. The pay/ benefits are competitive.

Cons

Things are mismanaged by upper management. They try to have their hands on too much and it's too much for them to take care of. They don't trust their employees and even the best employees can feel like they're always at risk of losing their jobs. I have never seen a company fire as many people as they do for such petty reasons. Beware if you upset the wrong person in that office.
