Pros
A nice small business with reasonable levels of growth, sustainability, and profitability. A good place to get your feet wet with a steady income and plenty of room to learn. Unlike most tech companies, you will produce things with high levels of craftsmanship and can take pride in your work. Great location near downtown New Haven.
Cons
Low compensation, little room for advancement. If you have the skills to be a great programmer, you can probably make significantly more money working for either a startup or large tech company, even before considering the stock compensation at those places. If you can move, a place like San Francisco, Palo Alto, New York, Boulder, or Seattle will have much better opportunities.
