In certain areas like the capital division, meritocracy appears secondary to personal ties, leading to a leadership vacuum where managing directors lack the fundamental proficiency required for the role. Consequently, the focus of "leadership" often shifts toward stylistic preferences and administrative polish rather than providing strategic or technical guidance. The current feedback culture discourages dissenting opinions, which creates a risk-averse environment. This stifles analytical work and prevents the honest reporting necessary for sound decision-making.
