Pros

- I like using the product. I use it more than Prometheus and Grafana even though the product isn't that mature. - I like my day-to-day work. In particular, I like getting to think about "timeless" issues like software testing and working with newer tools like Snowflake and Kubernetes. - I consistently see the people around me producing value for the company. I've learned a lot from others here and have changed how I approach work. - I am enjoying life more than ever, partly because of the things I've "observed" (get it?) from people at Observe. In general, people here respect work-life balance but also understand that without good work, a good work environment doesn't last.

Cons

There aren't that many guardrails to prevent you from making mistakes. If you don't like making mistakes (and slowly learning from them), it's easy to get frustrated.

Pros

if you are interested in collecting startup schwag, then this is your place. I've never had so many things from a single company before. get a chance to make pretty things from data, not mind blowing but customers want features.

Cons

- consistently bouncing from fire to fire makes any sort of planning impossible - a culture of "yes" men makes reasoned dissent impossible - finger pointing without any ownership of the problems

Pros

- Great wellness benefits - Great compensation packages

Cons

- Toxic micromanagement - Ego driven bureaucracy, only “yes men” will survive - Leadership assumes the worst out of their employees and spend the bulk of their time trying to affirm that assumption - Executive objectives get obscured in middle management leaving individual contributors constantly chasing vanity metrics and management trying to blame ICs for their inability to execute objectives - Enablement seeks to make new hires feel dumb instead of uplifting them. New hires are scared to speak in enablement sessions leaving a lot of questions being met with muted Zooms and when someone steps up to fill the awkward silence they are told that while they were 90% right, that 10% makes them completely wrong. - Sales people are treated like entry level SDRs: focus on vanity metrics and let leadership run your deal for you - There is no enterprise sales motion, this is mid market, SMB style of selling which makes it impossible to move up market.
