Full-time staff and managers show exactly zero respect for the casual workers, which are treated just like numbers instead of human beings. During the recruiting process, you are told you will be part of the highest level of catering service, but in truth you will be carrying trays and opening bottles of beer for most of the time - this is not restaurant service, but something way lower.
Staff are treated with hostility if they attempt to cancel shifts (regardless of the reason behind this), which makes little sense as it is an integral part of the nature of casual work.
Training sessions are a joke and involve a member of the office staff showing you how to do basic tasks, nothing else. Food safety courses are conducted in a slightly better fashion, but still leave a lot to be desired.
More recently, the casual staff have been told that they have to pay for travelling to external events. In the past, the company would cover such expenses, but now it seems like they are trying to cut corners in all areas.
