Pros
The hours were nice in home care.
Cons
No opportunity for advancement unless you work in the office and they really know you. They market themselves to employees as a family oriented company with open door policies. They aren’t at all. They have novice nurses seeing patients and are putting those nurses into leadership positions, surely to mold them their way. Management does not care at all what info you have to share regarding any patient concerns. They act as if they know everything just from reading the charting when we nurses know there is a lot more to it than that with home care. They take a punitive approach with all discipline from the get go. My manager had zero healthcare background and she was the manager of the field nurses. It was difficult to explain things to her b/c of that, she just didn’t understand certain situations or circumstances. If not for that it would have been a good place to work.
