Dear Former Employee, Any negative review is hard to receive; however, when untruths are contained, it makes things even harder. Your review about our Company is your opinion; however, we maintain high standards and outstanding performance reviews by all the industry's main carriers over decades as a premier contractor of wireless communication expertise. You are entitled to your opinion; however, we felt it necessary to address the untruths: As for your claim we offer "No Benefits" - prior to 2013, we offered Medical & Vacation; however, since 2014, when we could introduce new benefits One Way began to offer and still do; Medical Dental Vision Short Term Disability Long Term Disability $25,000 Life Insurance Simple IRA with a 3% Company Match Vacation Profit Sharing and numerous other benefits. We, not only meet industry standards, but, often exceed to reward, retain and attract quality employees. Your claim we "hire felons so they can pay them less" - to say we hire felons to pay them less is untrue and an insult. We hire people based on interest, skill and experience. Our wages are many times found to be higher than similar companies and as noted above, our overall total compensation packages are quite competitive, if not better. Yet, money is but one part of a person's professional reward. One must enjoy where they work and unfortunately for you, you were unhappy. It is my hope you are happier now wherever you've landed. Your claim "treat employees poorly with no loyalty to customers"; One Way Wireless Construction (previously One Way Building Services, Inc.) continues to employ so many wonderful people. We are grateful to be the long-term employer to so many incredible employees throughout our 40+ years of business. We pride ourselves on being able to strengthen someone's already budding Tower Construction career OR introduce someone new to the ever-growing, ever-changing industry of wireless construction. We earn the loyalty, trust and business of every major cellular carrier out there daily because of the expertise and experience of our incredible employees. We wish you the best, yet, were disheartened by your review of One Way. We hire and retain only exceptional employees with a strong work ethic. Respectfully, One Way Wireless Construction, Inc.

Managment Blind to Their Faults

Pros

None that come to mind.

Cons

This company is a very poorly managed company. They spend money on the things upper management want then leave their workers with cheapest gear and equipment. Their go to philosophy seems to be: "Buy cheap now and let the employees worry about the consequences later." Their Safety Manager is good though. He will look out for you to make sure that you aren't unsafe, but it is mostly up to you to buy extra equipment or severely annoy management for the things you need. They do provide you with two T-Shirts to wear during your 5+ day work week. Management saw fit to buy a two wheel drive ford f-150 that cannot operate during the winter, be taken to remote sites or tow anything for a company that is in Minnesota, goes to many dirt field/back road sites and constantly needs to tow equipment. The company is run purely on nepotism. The owner decided to give a close relative a very high seat of power that they did not earn nor deserve. This relative is a chief complaint among the company employees. The company likes to create a sense of elitism between their employees as well. Instead creating an environment where everyone works together and respects each other; they have created an environment where anyone under upper management is meant to feel like they know nothing, and anyone who doesn't climb towers isn't important to the work force. They recently bought a new building, with less warehouse space then they currently have, even though their current warehouse is substandard to their needs. But they newly remodeled management offices are amazing in their grandeur if not completely inessential. The worse is the purely illegal or hazardous work conditions. Recycling materials bought by the company or their clients and then pocketing the cash directly to the owner. Operating skid-steers and forklifts without a certification or training, among other practices. I could go on but if you haven't gotten the idea by now then there is nothing else I can say to warn you off. There is a reason the turnover is so high. Even if the management is blind to the reasons. They will hire anyone on probation or history of drug or alcohol abuse, because they can get away with offering substandard pay to people that need a job or can't get hired elsewhere.

Dear Management Blind to their Faults, This lengthy review appears to have one purpose and perhaps for some who read it, your intent will be served, yet, it is our hope that whoever has read your version will also take the time to read our response; It is unfortunate your employment was this upsetting; however, we truly hope wherever you are now - you're happy! Life is too short not to be. Since 1977 One Way has operated as a solid, reputable organization and we continue to do our best each and every day. We are far from perfect and we believe in continual improvement as that is how most people live. We have several long-term employees and we continue to recruit and hire many wonderful individuals. Our industry; cell tower construction is not for everyone; however, for those who work here, many could think of doing nothing else! Every Company has a few disgruntled former employees and it is too bad, you chose an online website to voice your concerns versus coming to anyone you felt comfortable with and expressing your concerns. All PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) needed or necessary to safely perform the job is provided and many times if someone with experience desires a particular brand or style, we have always worked with them on procuring it. There's no reason to word for word refute your post as I am not here to argue; however, at the same time we wanted to respect the time you took to write this with a response. All employees are critical to the organization's overall operations; however, to say a form of "elitism" is created between field & office is simply untrue. Our field employees are invaluable... they face harsh weather conditions, working at heights and many endure the additional strains of working out of state for up to 1-2 weeks at a time. All of these things are extremely appreciated by anyone who has a comfortable, climate controlled chair in the office. Many field employees have expressed how they would really dislike staring at a computer all day and so there's a mutual respect for those who handle all of the paperwork required to run a Company. It's a partnership, a collaboration here.... where we all do our very best to support the efforts of the other. Now, this is perfect world and trust me, there are struggles at times; however, if known we work through them as that is all anyone can do. Again, to circle back, it is upsetting to read such a writing; however, you're entitled to your opinion and thoughts... we continue to do our best and are grateful for each and every person who works here, those who have worked here and those who apply in the future. Thank you for your time. Regards, One Way Wireless Construction, Inc.

Pros

Stable work environment though challenging. People that care. Good Hours. Good opportunity

Cons

Weather is hard. Personalities are difficult. Working with people that have negative personalities can bring a team down quick. Management tries to help these people, sometimes they don't want help.
