You learn about the inner workings of a well known non-profit. Get to have a hand in helping those in need. Opportunity to work with great staff and people who care about others.
Cons
Leadership can be biased. They have issues communicating properly what should/need to change with organization. The organization started to develop an identity of oversight versus trust and communication.

A professional environment conducive to developing of skills and personal growth. A place in which you felt you completed your assignment for the day, and energize you for next day task.
Cons
Due to the nature of organization, the daily management of individuals homelessness, becomes a challenge. It is when you training and professionalism aids you, to delve into the issues and find resolutions for the clients.
