Opteon is the kind of company that walks the talk when it comes to work-life balance, supporting women's careers, and flexibility. In my time at Opteon I have been supported, promoted, professionally developed and been able to build great relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business. Leadership are collaborative and unpretentious. The ability to work from home is second to none, and Opteon are doing a great job of building a really nice culture despite most people being remote.
Cons
The opportunities to advance are there if you seek and deserve them. The nature of the business and industry means job security is a back of mind concern, but overall, I feel Opteon is looking out for its well-performing people.
Great health, dental, and life insurance benefits and other perks such as access to free mental health services, discounts, and PTO. Amazing company culture.
Cons
PTO was about 2 weeks per year which is not enough and you had to accumulate it over time. salary is not really fair due to the extended amount of additional work responsibilities. Salary barely meets living standards. Also, barely any opportunities for promotions at all. Many colleagues were gossiping a lot and talked behind people's backs which creates a bad team environment.
"What I value most in a work environment are:
Sense of safety, positivity, and friendliness. I particularly appreciate the company's approach to ensuring a secure workplace, where safety awareness and positive energy are consistently by management.
The staff's friendly and helpful demeanor adds to the overall pleasant atmosphere, making it enjoyable
rewarding to collaborate with such supportive colleagues in creating a harmonious and productive work environment."
I value cultivating strong connections with both corporate management and my colleagues. Additionally, I am committed to influencing front-line employees in a positive and meaningful manner, ensuring that their work experience is not only productive but also enriching. It is crucial to me that every individual leaves work feeling as satisfied and valued as when they arrived, thereby fostering a harmonious and supportive work environment built on mutual respect and collaboration.
Cons
Opportunity is always present no matter where you go
