The best part about this role is that it’s remote.

Cons

Business Operations, which heavily influences the Executive Assistant function, is in serious need of modernization. There are too many unnecessary layers of management and outdated processes that make simple tasks take far longer than they should. Instead of leveraging modern tools like AI to improve efficiency, there seems to be resistance to change. The same operational issues appear across multiple departments, yet they continue without meaningful improvement. Leadership often maintains legacy processes rather than challenging what’s no longer working. The culture also felt extremely micromanaged. Experienced professionals should be trusted to do their jobs without constant oversight. Excessive micromanagement slows productivity, reduces autonomy, and creates an environment that makes it difficult to do your best work.
