Pros

-Very rare chance to work in the electric vehicle industry, especially in the Eastern US. -The friends I made here are some that I will remember for the rest of my life, and probably were why I made it as long as I did in this dump.

Cons

Where do I begin? If you enjoy: -Low wages (barely enough to live on) -ZERO benefits (this means NO insurance or paid off days) -Threats with pay docking for not working enough hours a week -Having to work Saturdays unpaid -The CEO taking credit for all your ideas and claiming they were his -Being told you are replaceable -Having your pay docked while out sick -Not being allowed to do the job you were hired for -Very high employee turnover (gee, I wonder why?)-- meaning constant retraining new employees Then this is the place for you. I have never hated a CEO more than I did working at Organic Transit. The man is a psychopath, and seems to thrive on the mental games he plays with employees. I worked for the company for over 2 years. During this time, despite my contributions I was given no raises or bonuses and was told that I already made too high a salary. I was reprimanded for taking off time for Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. Because of these conditions, I didn't take a vacation for 2 years. That is hell, and I would not recommend it. The positive reviews on this site for Organic Transit are either fabricated or from people who only interned just a few months and never experienced the issues that full time employees endured.

Pros

Start-up environment, fun to work on the actual product

Cons

Was hired as an intern, was never asked about compensation, never given any sort of paperwork, and when my first day approached I stopped by to talk to the GM of the time and the owner walked up and introduced me to a customer as a volunteer. Should have seen the writing on the wall! Employees were WAY underpaid, undervalued, and often asked to work saturdays with minimal time off and hardly any vacation time. They were paid hourly and there were some days when a shipment of parts were late and they were just told to not bother to come in so were essentially laid off for a day. I was okay with volunteering my time for a bit, but it was really hard to see a bunch of good, hard working people get stepped on by the owner. The shop safety there was atrocious. The tools were all very cheap and unsafe Harbor Freight junk, the safety glasses and ear protection was either sparse or junk.

Pros

Great product that resonates with customers. Free marketing, press due to uniqueness of product.

Cons

Employees are not valued, not paid well, and have no support in terms of technology. No benefits available. Expected to work on Saturdays. No HR to voice concerns.
