Abandon Ship!! Terrible management with no strategy.

The senior management team in Germantown are absolutely clueless with no idea about market or product strategy, employee relations and career development. PCTEL is very much US centric bias with little experience, knowledge or patience for customers outside the good old US of A and absolutely no respect for other cultures, in fact, borderline embarrassing. There’s a real ‘bully’ culture in the company with some senior staff getting away with behavior which in any other company would result in disciplinary action and some cases the boot (in PCTEL you are rewarded). There’s no HR what so ever in PCTEL, just some old guy who turns up from time to time and clearly doesn’t care about his company, job or staff. Their recent acquisition of NexGen has been a flop as the software solutions and platform appears to be incredibly weak; lack of due diligence, staff experienced in software solutions and the CEOs arrogance has led to this failure. PCTEL is on a slippery slope with expectations to double revenue in 3 years but with the real potential to at least half them. Most of my colleagues are looking for other jobs and I can’t see much future in the company as the competition are too far ahead in the scanning business, stronger strategies around CEM and post processing optimization solutions. I would avoid this company unless you have absolutely no choice for another job and nothing better to do.
