An OK place to work, could be better.

Pros

Competent and pleasant people to work with. Most employees are true believers in what the company does, its mission, its ideals (though none will have much good to say about the state of the product). Company is unquestionably competent in its field; customers keep coming back for more. New generation of products under development. My sense is that some of the ills and baggage of the company are on the mend, and things are looking up.

Cons

Working 50 hours minimum per week is a stated expectation. ISO9000 + highly regulated industry creates constraints and slows down progress. No telecommuting policy; generally not allowed. Bad dynamics/distrust between some organizations (for no reason that I can see; perhaps historical baggage). Lots of inefficiencies; redundant, tedious, manual processes to make product and run business (but improving).

Pros

I love working for this company. Although admittedly there is some senior management who have been with the company for a very long time, there is a good balance of consistency/history and new developments with some of the organizational changes that have happened in the past year. A lot of positive changes have occurred and it seems like management is listening closely to employee concerns and taking many active steps towards improving company culture. I believe in what we do, we have a lot of high caliber people and everyone I work with is very dedicated to the company's and our customers' success.

Cons

I hear about conflicts remaining between some groups, but I don't have to deal with it directly. It's a challenge when some people have been around for a long time and are resistant to change or are stuck in a "we've always done it this way" mode, but I think that's the case anywhere.

Who can help PHT turn around???

Pros

Great product, just not the proper leaders to bring it to the next level.

Cons

Some management needs to go and get replaced with people who know what they are doing. Who can treat employees like they deserve to be treated and rewarded when they put in 120% all the time. Often people are overlooked, mistreated and shoved to the side. Give a bonus to everyone, not just the same people who hardly even show up 9-5, there are a lot of dedicated hard working people that get overlooked.

Good People, Mostly Incompetent Management

Pros

really great team of people who do the work. very dedicated and hard working and mostly very smart. however, motivation is starting to wane as morale continues to take a dive. product is pretty good and getting better.

Cons

overworked with no understanding of how to prioritize or any hope of staffing appropirately as hiring has been frozen. underpaid with salaries frozen and no bonuses ever. there is no time to do our very reactive work and certainly no time to fix anything. 80 hours a week might be able to get it done...

Great product very poor management

Pros

The product is great. Admittedly there are some short comings but all in all good product.

Cons

Very poor management with complete lack of accountability. The environment is plagued with cronyism. Culture of hiding the truth from the customer. With respect to adhere to company policy and guidelines they are weak; when an executive says "SOP's are for people who can't think for themselves..." then there is a big problem!

Pros

The people who work here are extraordinary. The amount of work that gets done is also very impressive and every every individual contributor and most managers are committed to delivering successful solutions to delight our customers.

Cons

Even with some recent changes to senior management, the leadership team refuses to focus on the underlying problems, preferring the band aid approach of addressing the symptoms only. In addition, the senior leaders have taken to berating the employees for the recent slow-down in new business.

Pros

Somewhat flexible work day with ability to work from home as needed. Solid people.

Cons

Will promise movement to new challenging positions but it will not happen. Politics are rampant. Employees are becoming disengaged and no one is noticing.

Pros

Nothing good to say about this company.

Cons

1) Pay was 10 K USD per anum lesser than the market standard. 2) Work load is increased to best performing highly efficient and hard working employees 3) We have other employees sleeping and doing nothing and taking vacations and getting huge rises in salary every year, as they have good rapport with their managers
