Pros

It is a stable job with hardly any deadlines (unless around Black Friday) and flexible working hours.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company is lacking some experienced people, especially in the product, design, IT and business intelligence departments and also within the higher management positions.

Pros

Great company culture and mission

Cons

There are no notable cons, but it would be better if there was a more social side to the company culture. Working remotely can make it difficult to connect with colleagues.

Cons

I was terminated from my position as a working student after approximately 3 months of employment, while I was still in the probationary period (which lasts 6 months). The main reason given for my termination was that I did not fit in with the team interpersonally. However, I feel that I was not given a fair opportunity to improve or integrate into the team. During my time with the company, I consistently completed my tasks to the best of my ability and asked for help and feedback when needed. I also made an effort to be more communicative and to build relationships with my colleagues. I was hired right before a busy period (Black Friday) and terminated shortly after, which leads me to believe that I was only needed for that specific time and not considered a long-term member of the team. I also feel that I was not given adequate support or communication during my probationary period, and that my interpersonal skills were judged unfairly based on limited interactions. In hindsight, I wish that I had been given more feedback or support to help me improve and better integrate into the team. I also wish that any issues or concerns about my performance had been raised directly with me instead of being discussed behind my back. Overall, my experience with this company was not positive, and I would not recommend working here to others.

Pepper Response

Hello, We are sorry to hear that you’ve had such a negative experience working for Pepper. It is never our intention to hire people on a short-term basis, we are always aiming for long-term employment and value people’s differences and what they can bring to the table. As much as we try to focus on our employees’ integration process within their departments and want them to flourish, we also have to assess each department’s needs and help them achieve their objectives. Sometimes, our system doesn’t work 100% and that is why your feedback is so valuable. We appreciate how candid you have been and will do our best to improve our ways moving forward. Sincerely, Pepper P&C Team
