Pros

I worked with awesome people and created great connections with customers. You learn about what kind of flower works best for you.

Cons

The first couple months working at perfect Union was amazing so I thought. After working countless hours this place really puts a toll on you mentally and physically. No music, can’t even decorate lanyards, only to wear ALL black shoes not even have white on them, I understand a job requires uniform but as cannabis is for about being yourself, exploring, ideas, creativity, and helping others this place really restricted myself from that. This was the very first dispensary where it’s so different from others! Inconsistency started occurring with less n less products which meant losing our valuable customers. They stopped giving the own employees samples… how else are we suppose to help our customers pick what’s best for them when we haven’t even tried any product. This job does not care about you, they’ll know you’re store is struggling with super low staff and still continue on pausing interviews/hiring!!

Valuable employee feedback is not only gathered daily it is relied upon to foster growth. At Perfect Union, we continue to bridge a professional, sustainable work environment with the creative and individualistic elements that fostered the cannabis industry in the first place. We have rebuilt our entire product menu and are excited for the full range of products we offer to our community. We do allow brands to supply samples to team members through compliant measures. Additionally we offer a generous discout to all team members.

Pros

It's a paying job.... everything else is absurd.

Cons

No Union, no set schedules, no tips, corporate is MIA. I don't know what they do for work, because they don't market, keep up inventory or purchasing, or communicate at all. They leave the stores to burn out while not providing ANY support. This is a quote directly from corporate; " Absolutely Not. We will not be putting anything into the stores until we see them as profitable." But they expect to see a profit without support.. They are focused more on wasting money expanding, rather then getting things right with current locations. Maybe that is why the company is in debt. Corporate house cleaning.... how is that working out? Maybe listen to the employees or get outta the industry. 3rd round of Corporate people have no clue at what they are doing....obviously look at the name. Perfect-Union (PU😆.) Look at all these reviews, consistent issues are brought up and out the window just as fast. But Corporate wants to save money by taking away ALL of the job perks at the drop of a dime. They took tip jars away and made them donation boxes. They are taking budtender tips away and taking customer "donations," and then writing them off as a Perfect-Union donation. They say we can't accept tips because we are Union. Which for most locations, is a bold-faced lie. Corporate needs to get with it or bow out...cause nothing has changed since this new lineup of a corporate team took over. From the top to district managers. Get off your high-horses...I don't care about your professional past...it doesn't mean ANYTHING here except getting you your position...all successful corporations compete with local economies, so an excuse about not paying attention to other dispensaries, small or corporate....WILL be PU's ultimate failure. Listen to what we are saying....cause I'm watching this ship barely staying above water.... taking employee perks away and making us earn promotion schwag and products that are meant to be given to us and customers, is not going to save your bottom dollar. Other corporate companies like Vibes, Cookies, Stiiizy, etc..are doing things in a way that makes PU smell like it's name. In summary....I love this industry and want this company to do right...but yeah...still waiting on broken promises and NO communication. Don't work or shop here unless you wanna get ripped off until things change. To say Perfect-Union is a joke and the laughing stock in each community would be an understatement.

There are so many ways to contribute to Perfect Union's growth. We can see you have a lot of valuable ideas to share. Store feedback is asked for on a daily basis. We promote from within. We value community. We support our employees' right to join unions. We have a plan in place to fairly accept tips in the very near future. Together, we are building an impressive footprint in California. We're proud of our collective accomplishments and how we continue to grow. We hope you will choose to grow with us.

Pros

Great coworkers. Genuine and caring frontline-staff. Competitive wages and benefits.

Cons

Horribly managed business from the top. Lay-offs, company and investor debts. Solely profit-driven. Company does not appreciate quality and genuine workers. The Union is also useless and does nothing for workers rights; it’s laughable.

With business, profit has to be part of the equation - one that doesn't need to be mutually exclusive to a positive work experience. In the dispensary and cannabis industry, "corporate" is used as a negative word, when in actuality it's part of the process of navigating the quickly changing protocols and legalities while improving processes for staff and consumers alike. Perfect Union takes our cues from the lessons we learned in the early days. We teach budtenders and customers about the plant we are selling. We encourage everyone to ask questions and continue learning. We promote employees from within. We are sorry your experience was not positive for you - and we wish you well in your next endeavor.
