Pros

1. Decent benefits 2. Nice workplace/offices 3. "Startupy" spirit

Cons

1. Not even one year from the company's founding and it let almost half if it's workforce go. The fun part was that all this happened after 2 major projects had just been successfully implemented with lots of work and overtime. People where fired who were hired 4 months ago leaving serious companies behind 2. Extremely long working hours especially for engineers 3. Amount of work and personal commitment and effort is not valued 4. Middle management clueless 5. Upper management useless 6. Not serious

Thank you for this review -- your feedback is much appreciated. I am sorry that your Persado experience was not all that you had hoped for, but input like this will help us learn and improve! We worked hard in 2020 to improve the employee experience and engagement survey results suggest we may have gotten the recipe right! Thank you again for your review. Ali

Pros

Good remuneration package compared to other Greek companies Good opportunity for people that have just finished college

Cons

The level of micromanagement from upper management is so intense it becomes intolerable after just a few months. Managers critisize the way you work, you talk even the way you're responding to emails There is no career development as no matter how many years pass you will still be doing the same things you did the very first day. Career ladders were recently introduced to the employees but the topic is only one more theoretical/meaningless discussion to make you believe that they care AI is the center of Persado's marketing strategy but once you start working you realize the amount of AI technology used is negligible

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback. I am sorry that you have not had the Persado experience that we hope for everyone. We continue to invest in programs and introduce initiatives focused on our People --- many as a direct result of the feedback offered in the employee engagement survey. We truly take this input to heart! My door is always open and I would welcome the 1:1 conversation you mention anytime. :) Thank you. Ali

This House of Cards is One Strong Breeze Away From Toppling Over

Pros

By the time I left there were very little Pros to speak of. After numerous rounds of layoffs all of the perks and positive company culture had gone out the window entirely.

Cons

Upper Management treats Operations like content robots to make up for their bad product. C-level folks will tone check their employees for asking questions about their uncertain futures with the company, despite parading around the idea of company-wide transparency. It's a big smoke a mirrors act that is finally catching up to the company at large. Operations is also never in the know about things being sold to clients, and is always playing catch up. Leaves for a poor employee experience, as well as a poor client experience. No wonder clients seemed to be leaving en mass. The pay is also a joke, as it's clear they are in such dire straights financially. It all adds up, when you put it all together: clients are leaving due to a bad product, and poor experiences due to a lack of communication, collaboration, and managerial support between Sales/Solutions Consulting and Operations. There is no cash flow, so the company resorts to laying off employees and handing off their responsibilities to the employees left. Those remaining employees then become so overworked, they end up leaving. Which now leaves an opening to either bring someone in who needs to perform 3+ jobs for said position, or the company decides backfilling the role is not necessary and hands off the workload to the remaining overworked employees who had already taken on extra work from previous rounds of layoffs. It's a vicious cycle and no one at the C-level is willing to hear and digest any feedback on the employee experience. Anything remotely negative said is viewed as being rude and, in the past, has resulted in a company-wide muting from Zoom meetings on the questions front. They also believe that anonymous feedback emboldens their employees to be negative and rude, which is simply not true. C-level does not understand that they do not provide an environment where all types of feedback are welcomed. Anonymous feedback isn't emboldening your employees to act out of turn, it's protecting them from retaliation in an upcoming layoff. They want to see C-level can practice the same accountability they preach to the rest of the company. They want to see their jobs are no longer in jeopardy on a weekly basis. This is something that the C-level members need to understand. YOU are the example. YOU are in control of people's livelihoods in an uncertain economy. YOU do not get to comment on your employees need for money to exist in the world. YOU are the ones who should be providing positive change to the company. They don't all have the luxury of working for numerous companies in addition to yours as advisors.

Failing - Stressful - Overwhelming

Pros

Remote work and diverse team

Cons

This company is sinking fast. Every year brings another round of layoffs, shrinking budgets, no bonuses, no cost-of-living raises, and no meaningful promotions. The only “promotions” happening are title changes with no salary increase. Upper management continues making questionable changes and presenting them as “positive initiatives for employees and the company,” supposedly based on employee feedback. Feedback from who? Leadership clearly isn’t listening to the people actually doing the work. Communication is consistently poor, leading to mistakes, confusion, and constant blame-shifting whenever problems arise. Benefits continue to get worse. Summer Fridays were removed, the insurance offerings are weak, and there’s little to no real career growth unless you’re moving backward. Morale is low, and employees are expected to absorb the impact of endless organizational instability. The product itself is overly complicated and constantly changing — sometimes week to week. Very few people truly understand it unless they’ve been at the company for a long time, and even then, keeping up with the pace is exhausting and unsustainable. Meanwhile, upper management continues selling it as a simple, seamless solution. Clients quickly discover otherwise after endless email chains, miscommunication, implementation errors, and constant changes in direction. This company feels deeply disconnected internally and externally. The environment is chaotic, leadership lacks transparency, and the overall trajectory is concerning. At this point, the ship is sinking fast, and it’s hard to recommend this place to anyone looking for stability, growth, or a healthy work environment.

Pros

At this point, there are none

Cons

The worst professional experience of my career by far. Upper management changes company direction every few months, and internal processes are constantly being modified. Workload continues to increase to accommodate the gaps left by the multiple RIFs that have taken place. I was told on multiple occasions that a pay adjustment was more than likely, only to be informed that my salary wouldn’t be adjusted. Perhaps the only feature that meets with high approval across the company, the remote working structure, has now been rescinded for those living in Athens and NY. This is despite constant assurances that the flexible model was core to Persado’s approach.
