      Good opportunity to learn a lot, but must be independent

      Pros

      Good team dynamic, provided with opportunities to learn and cross train, The work is interesting and dynamic. You will learn a lot in a short time.

      Cons

      You need to have confident problem solving skills and work well independently because management is usually swamped and can't always provide feedback. You cannot be shy about asking for what you need to solve issues or complete projects. The benefits aren't as good as other companies located in biotech hubs.

      Toxic management prioritizes profit over quality

      Pros

      The poor management sucks for everyone, so everyone suffers together (though, due to the burnout, they hire relatively young people for the Research Associate position, and many of them can be very clique-y).

      Cons

      Everything. Poor management. Animals and data quality suffer so that profit can be prioritized. Dishonest & Racist upper management.

      Casual dress, some people are very nice

      Cons

      The most toxic work environment I have ever had the displeasure of working in. Was verbally and emotionally berated by a coworker multiple times, and when I brought it up to management I was told that "it's just their personality, so you just have to suck it up." That same employee made physical threats against multiple other coworkers (who have quit to get away from this employee) and they are still employed, take that as you will. Upper management is atrocious and only cares about money. They do not listen to the people actually doing the real work in the company and blame them for their own mistakes. The pay is not a livable wage and vacation time is minimal.
