Pros

Gain 3 years work experience per year - based on working 7 days a week + v long days. No difficulty managing work-life balance - as core philosophy is that you don't have a life.

Cons

You will be late on tasks that you are not even aware of Training is to be done in you personal time ... just reduce on sleeping hours

Pros

People are nice but a bit incompetent. They don't mean to be, they just don't know any better.

Cons

Disorganization and lack of information are the cornerstones of the Phoenix experience. Other reviews have stated this is a good place to work if 'you’re willing to work hard' but it should really say 'this is a good place to work if you’re willing to work hard due to the incompetence of the management’. The workload and general management are reminiscent of a start-up company but where as you might work later and longer to advance a small company that is short on resource this shouldn't be how a multi-million dollar company operates. Expectations are to work every hour of the day and be available pretty much all the time. Holidays are a joke as even when you give the 3 months required notice to take a day of this will more than likely be cancelled and you will have to reschedule. Are Phoenix busy during the summer? Well, you can just take 2 weeks in November instead then. Sound good? Expecting employees to work extra for no additional pay and cancel holidays isn't acceptable for a company with an annual turnover of 3.05 billion USD. Even before the Diebold take over Phoenix was still a multi mullion pound company and hasn't been a start-up for quite some time. There are plenty of 'opportunities' as the turnover of staff means there are plenty of 'project management' jobs available but as there is no project management process in place don't expect to get any training in PRINCE or similar. This is really just an exercise to shift responsibility so someone else can take the blame for the most recent screw up. Just avoid. I read these reviews before I started and thought 'it can't be that bad' but it is.
