Pros

An opportunity for career advancement.

Cons

Here is my dilema, I really love so much about Plethora. But the things that made it great are completely gone now. Everyone used to show up excited everyday. People really cared about what they did. There were always problems with upper management not communicating with the teams. Things got really bad when they hired the new CEO. He stood in front of the entire company and told us all that everyone of us were the biggest dissapointments that he had ever worked with. Then he continued to degrade for so long that I just tuned him out. He wanders the shop and rage yells at people. The most unprofessional person I have ever work with. He gets in fights with everyone, not just people inside our company.

Thank you for providing this feedback. We are constantly trying to get better, and we’re working on setting clear expectations that are aligned with our company values at every level, from the c-suite to each individual contributor. On expectations, every employee has been given clear goals for 2019 that are aligned with their department and company goals. Those are tough but achievable with teamwork and consistent performance. A problem that a lot of companies face in the transition from the Startup to the Growth phase is a change in expectations, and how it is communicated is essential for success. We’ll take this constructive criticism to heart and develop some better tools and guidance as a company to ensure situations like what you describe don’t reoccur. It’s only through constant clear consistent communication that we can succeed, and our operational and technological performance over the last year is a testament that things are continually improving at every level.

Pros

Not a single positive thing! All is crap!

Cons

Everything. Management is an absolute joke. Sales team is responsible for how parts should be manufactured when they have zero knowledge of how a part should be manufactured. CEO is a scumbag, egotistical, power hungry, only cares about himself. Complete disregard for the men and wemon that make the company. The machinists are by far treated the worst. They are treated like they are less than human. Horrible communication between all departments. Sales lies to customers, telling them parts are made in house when they are outsourcing 80% of all jobs. The overhead is enourmous, scrap rate is higher then parts sold. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! INVESTORS BEWARE! YOUR MONEY IS BEING DIVERTED TO JIMS POCKET! LAWSUITS INCOMING!

Pros

The general staff Production, Sales, Product, and Engineering are wonderful, thoughtful people.

Cons

One of the most poorly run companies I've been at. The Leadership is absolutely awful. The CEO's inability to make business decisions and hold upper management accountable has held the company back about 2 years on their roadmap. The COO is easily one of the worst people I've ever worked for. Condescending, aggressive, and overall demeaning to workers except his few favorites. The CFO/VP of Finance is useless, but keeps failing up and getting credit for other people's work because he knows how to brown nose effectively. The salaries don't make any sense- they lowball great people and give deeply undeserved raises to others. It is ultimately a pretty demoralizing place to work. Perfect microcosm of everything toxic and awful you hear about start ups. I have no idea how they keep getting funding.

The employees at Plethora are wonderful and thoughtful people. Our leadership team has worked hard to attract and retain talented individuals, and over the last year the results have been evident. We have set aggressive goals for ourselves, and we are achieving them. In October we set internal records AGAIN for bookings and revenue. Our production system is becoming more efficient daily. All of that means we have had to hold our employees accountable. Our company's mission and goals, translate down to department goals and individual performance objectives. The experience for our employees should be consistent, and they're held to behavioral and performance expectations. When someone is struggling to meet our expectations we try to work with them to find success strategies, but eventually if that doesn't work, after step corrective action, and a performance improvement process, we have to part ways. Our hope is that every person who has exited Plethora has good luck in their future endeavors. Growth and performance as a company is difficult to achieve, but with teamwork, and constant deliberation, Plethora is doing the right things for our company's and employee's success.
