Pros

They pay better than most places.

Cons

Too many to list. You know there's a problem when your coworkers are all on Zoloft, and they literally cry daily. This isn't a job, it's a slave-like environment. The fuel cells are dangerous, and have killed operators in the past, and will again. Plug Power ignores safety protocol to the extreme. Training is minimal. Any training you do receive is not relevant, and is only done so management can pat themselves on the back. You will never have time off, and when you do, you will get constant phone calls and emails. If you have no regard for your mental wellbeing, or your personal safety, then this is the place for you.

Pros

Decent pay for some roles. New technology, potential for growth and further expansion and product lines.

Cons

Terrible company culture. Multiple members of senior management were essentially 'bought and paid for' by one individual in Management and many came from the same company that starts with an S. The company has a referral bonus that this one manager exploited and hired multiple of his cronies into various management positions, including Human Resources. This company only values relationships and not work ethic. Nepotism and favoritism run rampant here... It wouldn't surprise me at all if quid-pro-quo goes on here...Because this is so blatant, morale is terrible among the staff and people feel overworked and underpaid. Numerous people have given up working hard and trying and have openly talked about how the company will not promote them because they are not management's favorites. -so why should they try if they won't get promoted?... Management has openly talked about who they like and don't like in front of employees like we're still in a High School setting, and many members are extremely unprofessional. There is also a lot of bullying that goes on here that is sponsored by management that HR does little to nothing about. There's a lot of racism and discrimination at various levels that go on here. The majority of my team and multiple other people within the building openly talk about how they're looking for better opportunities, quote: "where they don't feel like paid slaves". The work-life balance here is horrible. I've witnessed many things that I never thought would happen at a workplace, including people working in altered states of mind and operating heavy equipment and machinery. This has honestly been the worst experience I've had in my career and cannot wait for my opportunity to get out of here, aside from quitting and unfortunately, it's getting closer and closer to that reality. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Thank god for them getting help from the government with bailouts because they continuously find ways to run this business straight into the ground.

Pros

High growth and limitless potential

Cons

It is still a start up without the proper processes, personnel and support. Projects are "Winged"- people will get hurt. Production and selling is all that matters. There is a culture of bullying that starts with us allowing customers to bully us that starts with sales agreeing to anything when we rarely can meet project goals as sold. Safety is never brought up and the company shifts focus all the time. Also, they have way too many projects for the number of people that are supposed to lead the projects which means one goes from one emergency to another reactively without the ability to proactively plan. Accounting scandals.
