Cons
Pay, hours, and management style.
Pros
Benefits, Work Hours, Flexibility, and Nice co-workers.
Cons
Low salary, politics, lack of employee development, high level of favoritism, poor facilities and poor management.
Pros
Laid back atmosphere and great peers to work with. Helping student attain a higher education.
Cons
Very unorganized, management team has no sense of business operations. Lack of communication skills. Low wages under market value. Higher management is very cliquish and display blatant favoritism. Company is only focused on it's main campus and has no regard for it's off site locations. Some upper management have no outside experience but working with Point. Poor management of funding.
Pros
colleagues, environment, and the calendar/schedule for holidays/time-off,
Cons
payment is subpar, management doesn't really know what they are doing
Pros
Work-life balance is the best I have ever experienced; lots of flexibility to do the job; decent benefits; easy to be a Christian though you will see a lot of not-so-Christian behavior
Cons
No performance feedback; seem to hire the least expensive and the least threatening person for the job; poor or non-existent communications of what is really going on; non-confrontational management team, so no one makes suggestions or recommendations for improvement since it is known that it will go nowhere; leadership ignores real issues and seems to spend more time posturing than improving; vindictive when someone does dare suggest a change or leaves; as others have said, it is a very cliquish environment--better be one of the inside clique or just put your head down and do what is required (if you know what that is without a job description or objectives); people seem to stay if they have no where else to go--sure not for the pay! Always seems to be a budget crunch; poor pay and no raises year-after-year, poor physical plant outside the main campus; minimal use of current technology.
Pros
Work like balance is awesome.
Cons
Most of the employees there are either graduates of the school or family of someone there. Coming in as an outsider, and years of experience there was no respect for the knowledge I could bring to the table. Very insecure leadership who feels like everyone wants their jobs. Lack of communication from upper management is the greatest obstacle facing this organization and because of it, the school is having difficulties retaining employees and students.
