Pros

You get a really generous staff discount. I liked the high level of trust and responsibility I was given. Working in a small store I was trained in every aspect of running the store, even as a part-timer.

Cons

There was excessive pressure and unrealistic expectations from head office in regards to budget/ sales. It was always stressful going to work. I was bullied by a manager and told by head office that they will always side with the manager. I was expected to spend at least 30-60 minutes unpaid cleaning each time I closed and told I would lose shifts if it wasn't clean enough. We were constantly understaffed. There was never anyone to cover a shift and I was made to feel that being sick was not an option. We were expected to wear current stock and 'look like the models in the windows'. Even with the discount this meant spending a lot of money on clothes. Not realistic for a casual or part timer.
