Disorganized and poorly managed

Pros

Pay is good if you’ve been there for a long time or hold any type of degree/ certificate. Work/life balance is decent.

Cons

A lot of unprofessional people in positions of power. Management is very disorganized, no communication between upper and lower levels. Fire people if needed to make their bottom line when it’s slower. Lines never have parts to build with and then everyone gets in trouble for sitting and and not making the end of the month. End of month is also crazy every month due to poor planning. Several bullies in management that get away with mistreating employees. Foreign employees get screwed a lot with pay and benefits because they don’t understand/ can’t argue back. Guy shot up in the bathroom and passed out then went back to work. Guy stalking two ladies got fired and got back in the building later on (badge wasn’t taken away when fired). Insurance is really expensive and sucks (Anthem)

Destiny holds failure for PDI

Pros

Compensation can be good, but depends who you are/who you know. Benefits are decent.

Cons

It saddens me to say that you should RUN not walk away from this company. They were formerly employee centered and based the business on running a smooth efficient operation to produce a quality product. This is no longer the case. The reviews here (with the exception of one) are negative for a reason. This company does not value it's employees, or even it's product. There is only one goal. Boost the bottom line for the top tier and the private equity group who holds the company. The comments about "new regime" are right. They are new, and doing something new, and that "new stuff" is terrible. I would advise, as someone with many years of manufacturing experience and a fair amount of time with PDI, do not go work there unless you are absolutely desperate for a paycheck, and even then, keep looking. I chose to leave a while back - felt bad at the time - in hindsight, I dodged a huge bullet. I suggest you do the same.

The Fall of Power

Pros

2nd Shift works really well as a team

Cons

It won't let me fit the amount of cons this place produces to their production team, so I'll put points down. Extremely disorganized and drama filled quality department. Treated more like a number than a name. Bully and harassment are pretty bad. Under paying production crew. Huge lack of communication. Criticism doesn't help you learn, more like makes the employee feel bad. Unnecessary amounts of overtime that costs bonuses.
