Pros

- people - atmosphere - free membership - 4-day work week

Cons

- on call 1-2 times per month for things mostly out of your control - terrible pay - 40k base salary with 1k annual raises… - only allowed a lunch break if you do not take class that day - 4 day work week unless a teacher cannot find a sub then you have to do it - obscene hours

Pros

-full-time field staff/peers were amazing and supportive of one another/to customers. created a positive experience for people who came to practice even when times were especially hard for us behind the scenes. can't say enough positive things about the people I worked with/saw daily + instructors. -you can make your studio your own in some regards, and set the feel you want through events. -you gain a lot of experience in different areas. Instruction, HR convos, marketing/events, prospecting leads, etc. -you get to spend lots of time knowing the great people who walk in the doors. I loved the people who practiced at power life. -I felt participation as a lead/coach in teacher training was personally gratifying and exciting even though it was taxing I didn't leave my role feeling I had a positive experience, but there were really positive elements about the job looking back that I wanted to be accurate to.

Cons

-unorganized corporate structure/unspoken expectations -values not lived out -high-stress environment -work-life balance is very hard to maintain. heavy use of personal phone outside of set work hours to manage staff, at all hours. having to sub classes with very little notice. -lots of work outside of set hours -lack of formal training +support for full-time staff -lack of support for new markets -in my opinion, compensation was very low. it seemed like many/most full-time employees didn't get raises/cost of living adjustments often or ever. -I personally saw a high turnover rate during my time there for my team over a short time frame -felt they were unreceptive to feedback from bottom up -there were some true gems in upper management. However, it felt to me that the negative overwhelmed the positive in this aspect, in my role.

Pros

Lots of teaching freedom and a great community.

Cons

More freedom can make structure difficult. But the leadership team does a great job listening to and implementing feedback.
