Pros

- There's funding. But the funding does not benefit your salary, your equity, the culture, or employee perks/happiness.

Cons

- Bad product - they call themselves a health "tech" company but with very little investment in tech. The Apps are buggy, and usually don't work. - Bad leadership - There's a saying that people enjoy what they do because they enjoy working with their boss. Here, the leader (CEO) is not someone that you would enjoy working with because he is a dictator. There's no concept of 'team' and there's definitely no room for you to truly innovate because they just like to copy what other companies do. - Skeptical morals - They're able to get funding because they think they're helping people, but what they're doing is selling the packages to insurers who have NO IDEA what their customers even want. It's not about improving people's health, it's about making money. That's really what it's all about. - Disorganized in many aspects... team leadership changes almost every other week, new people are joining and quitting within the SAME month, projects are agreed to without any scoping done initially. They operate like a factory that has many chains of operations.

Thank You for sharing your experience. I'm very sorry that your experience here at Prenetics was not a great one. In terms of funding, we have been fortunate to secure funding that allows us runway for the foreseeable future. We do however need to be careful of this and spend wisely where appropriate. We have also used this funding directly for our current employees and new employees package, equity is comparable to other start-ups if not more, and have introduced weekly lunches, employee budget for personal growth, team lunches, etc. While certainly I am bias, I do believe we have a very good product which can be further improved on. In this aspect, many improvements are under way and I have no doubt in a short time, we'll get there. Our product has already made and helped tens and thousands of people change their diet / lifestyle for the better. There are countless testimonials I read and that's what motivates me. Money should never be the motivating factor and it's a belief I've always had throughout each of my previous business and even more apparent here at Prenetics. It's truly about improving people's lives and making our tests accessible to as many people as possible, globally. I'm immensely proud of where we are today as a company and more proud of our entire team which is the reason we are here today. We'll continue to make the experience better for all employees and wish you all the best in your future career, health, and life.

Don't waste your precious time working there!

Pros

Nice office but very noisy.

Cons

Don't believe what they said or promised. They will brainwash you but later you will find out the truth. Those who know how to talk and show off will be favored by CEO. It's a terrible place to work, especially the only HR who is very mean and irresponsible. Most people who stay there are those only looking for their own interest. Good people will leave or pretend to change themselves adapt to this poisoned environment. It is not a place for you to learn real substance but how to be an actor. Please be kind to yourself, use your time to fulfill your dream, or learn smth will benefit your future, don't come to enjoy the mental suffering and physical torture(working more then 12 hrs per day,24/7 standby if CEO messaged or emailed). For those still working there, there are so many companies outside recruiting, any other places you could find will make you happier!

Pros

1. Work environment is great, colleagues in teams are supportive and enthusiastic. All working after a common goal and cause! 2. Weekly team lunches and regular gatherings that helps to cut the mundane from working in a highly demanding and stressful environment 3. Company is backed by big investors - Alibaba, and other insurance companies. Funding is secure compared to other start-ups

Cons

1. No bonus or pay raise, even if you work long for the company 2. Sacrifice & passion are commonly mentioned in every townhall and whenever the CEO, Danny speaks. But he fails to recognise that passion cannot feed a family and sacrifice can only go so far before being burnt out! 3. High turnover rate. Higher management believes in hiring the best, but they cannot offer good benefits. No medical reimbursements or family leave. Lots of talents hired but most left before reaching 1 year 4. Slow hiring rate. Many people leave but few gets hired to replace them. Heavier workload for those who stay. Those hired also leave within a few months. The cycle repeats throughout the year 4. Very demanding work environment, especially from the higher management who does not have clear directions and goals. Also they do not teach you the ropes if you are new, you are just thrown in to the deep ocean and have to figure how to swim fast if not you drown! 5. Feedback to the higher management is not often heard or they hear you but do not act on it
