Pros

Hybrid working Looks good on your cv

Cons

The sudden influx of positive reviews from management and HR around the 22nd/23rd Sept is interesting... But lets be honest they are getting desperate, everyone is leaving and no one is applying for the roles they are advertising because the pay is so bad. The workload has become completely overwhelming as so many people have left for jobs with better money and actual progression. Many people are taking on senior responsibilities but are being kept in (lower paid) Junior/Midweight roles. When they express concerns about this and a desire for progression to senior management, they are told they can leave. Thats the level of care, respect and loyalty they show hardworking, skilled, and committed staff.

Pros

If you like sport and sports clothing for men, lots of this type of product to work with

Cons

Toxic and evil culture by management CEO is abysmal and does not care for the workers as they get the lowest salaries ever seen - so just leave as it gets worse. Some wages are for highly skilled roles and a manager who is clearly incompetent from the way he talks and behaves as an immature individual states 'they are wages for that part of the UK' - no they are intern salaries, do not BS anyone. The market value is nowhere as low and everyone knows so those skilled are leaving you. Fake version of sport retailers with overpriced and low quality products

Pros

Ironically there are an embarrassingly low amount of 'pros' at pro direct: .Relatively flexible working hours .Large car park (don't expect to park in it though, waiting list is approx 1.5 years) .Free tea & coffee machines TOP TIP: be sure to loiter around them for 45 mins-1 hour per day so you can gossip with your team leader if you wish to succeed within the business .30% staff discount (on selected items at selected intervals)

Cons

I've been in full-time employment for over 10 years and this is hands down the most corrupt, toxic, backward shambolic institution I have ever step foot in. I honestly have no idea how this company is still in business. Team leaders are inexperienced with no relevant qualifications or training not to mention communication/people skills or even manners in general. Seriously in the dark as to what they actually do from day to day apart from sitting on their phones or talk. Talking is vitally crucially of the highest importance of anything that ever existed!!!! If you do not spend 60% of your day talking to the "right" people and mixing in their circles you are utterly disposable and will be disregarded almost immediately despite being significantly more skilled, experienced & qualified than them. Unfortunately, these things mean nothing here. Employees not in this 'clique' quite literally work in fear, unable to speak out on fear of losing their jobs. They have to put up with the bad attitudes, passive-aggressive behaviour and horrible atmospheres as the people who you are supposed to make a complaint too are the very same people causing it. The company has a worryingly low level of trust & belief in its employees with almost the entire workforce being on (or coming from) temporary agency contracts. This means they can keep employees on probation for over a year and get rid of them easily, which they certainly take advantage of. Everyone in my office had had their probation's extended at least once for incredibly trivial reasons or in some cases no reason at all. Using your initiative here is quite literally banned. If you can think of a simpler way to carry out tasks which is more time-effective you'll be told 'that's not how things are done here' likewise if you see a colleague struggling and wish to help you'll just be made to sit down even if you have no work to do yourself. Workload is sole-destroyingly thin here, some may see this as a positive which is great if your happy to coast through your career doing the bare minimum and spending the majority of your day on ASOS, if your full of ambition and drive and want to progress in your career I can not stress enough how much this is NOT the place for you. It is an incredibly slow-paced working environment. Things that could be done in 1 hour are finished after 4 on a good day. I can hand on heart say in the 2 years I was here I felt genuinely busy once and that was only because 2 people were off so I decided to do both their jobs as well as mine (sneakily without being caught working too hard obviously). The rest of the time after I had finished all my work I'd be told to sit on my phone until home time. It is such a shame the way the business is run, as there are some really talented and hard-working employees here which are all over-looked who have the potential to be so much more than what they're being repressed too. Bullying behaviour from coordinators only got worse as time went on it got to the point that the thought of coming into work everyday made me feel physically sick and started to effect my mental health.Sadly I wasn't the only one effected as this still stands as an on-going issue. Id compare working at pro direct to running on a tread mill for hours - you start to get very tired and your going nowhere.
