Supportive colleagues but limited growth opportunities
Pros
The supportive and bright colleagues you get to work with daily make staying on mission easier. There are genuinely some very smart and dedicated people solving difficult problems in a complex financial and regulatory environment. I learnt a lot about a wide variety of business functions whilst there, which I had previously had limited or no exposure to, which was great for someone who likes to learn continuously.
Cons
In my time I felt like I had little opportunity to get promoted or take on bigger roles, unless I were to pivot to another department. However, this might have been more concentrated in the team I was in. Prodigy also unfortunately went through a few rounds of retrenchments, which hurt morale and sentiment. Hopefully, the new strategy will pay off, and they will come back better and stronger.
