Pros

After working in the non-profit/arts education space for the past 10 years, I have never encountered such an employee, mission, and student-driven non-profit like Publicolor. The dedication and passion of the team are truly unparalleled. Every project is infused with a sense of purpose, and it’s evident that every staff member is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact. The organization fosters an incredibly supportive and collaborative environment, where innovation and creativity are encouraged. Publicolor’s distinctive approach to education and community engagement not only transforms spaces but also transforms lives. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that consistently strives to uplift and empower both students and communities, making a real difference every day. Publicolor's leadership and minority-driven workforce reflect a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the students we serve.

Cons

You develop a genuine bond while working with students and witnessing their educational and emotional growth through our programs. It can be challenging to say goodbye as they embark on new journeys and opportunities. Fortunately, with our family-minded approach, our students always return to share their experiences with new students and staff making their departure easier!

Pros

The most rewarding part of any job is when you get paid. But at Publicolor, it's when you are able to see the difference you are making in this world.

Cons

Working with many students can be challenging at times, but the key is to have patience.

Pros

Working for Publicolor has been among my most rewarding job experiences. Being an alumna of the program, it’s especially meaningful to help provide the same opportunity for a new generation of young scholars. I’m now part of our very involved team. It’s exciting to work daily hand in hand with like-minded individuals who share the same mission. Our common passion helps our students reach their fullest potential. Managing the COLOR Club program for grades 6 through 9 has given me greater insight into the challenges our young students face. Their resilience fills me with the grace and compassion needed to support their journey toward success in school, careers, and life.

Cons

There aren't many downsides to working here besides having to say goodbye to our senior graduates every year.
