Pros

- Intelligent, diverse coworkers. A lot of really smart people from all sorts of different personal and professional backgrounds. - Office perks - food, flexible work schedules, travel for work

Cons

- Extremely unprofessional/unethical upper management; a lot of drug use and serious sexual harassment from the top all the way down. - False transparency. For example, in one all-hands I remember being told Qubit had spent absolutely none of the current funding; in another I was told that millions had been spent in a matter of months. There's never a clear picture of what is actually going on. - Extremely political. Layoffs come fast and strong, and it doesn't matter if you're a top performer...if you aren't a favorite (or in a relationship with someone with clout) then you are at risk. Even when layoffs aren't an issue, there is constant trash talking and some sort of scheming going on. - Terrible training, and horrible understanding of the product. When the entire company was asked to answer "what does Qubit do?" responses ranged far and wide. There were virtually no two alike. How can you expect to succeed when there is no common understanding of your business? - Sketchy/fake Glassdoor reviews. From my first month in, I was receiving requests from People Ops to write a positive review on Glassdoor with specific suggestions of things to mention. I'm not kidding when I say that almost no one I knew at Qubit was happy. - No morale. And no morals. - Constantly changing directions, but not for good reason. I understand startups change, I've been there, done that. This is not the case here. For a company who supposedly captures endless amounts of data, you'd think they'd be able to analyze the data they are gathering on their own business. Not the case. Plans and directions are changed from day to day, for no apparent reason. Or at least, there is no actual explanation for these things...i.e., no transparency. - Set in their ways. They say they want to hear suggestions and voices of the company, but it's rare that any of those ideas make it anywhere. - Poor management. Managers barely know what they are doing, let alone have the ability to direct others. Laughable. - Huge, unwarranted ego from upper management. Management will legitimately tell sales to turn down a deal worth hundreds of thousands of dollars for the most ridiculous reasons. I have actually heard the term "if they don't understand why they should buy our technology, then we don't need them." A primary reason why sales are plummeting, clients are churning, and sales reps are making little to no money. If you're in sales, don't expect the type of support where management wants to help you close a deal at all costs. Most unprofessional and miserable job I have ever had.

Pros

Some good young dynamic people who have some great ideas to move the company forward. Also food and drink is a perk.

Cons

The company has no training programme for new starters what so ever. They pretend to you and even have a name for it called Nubit training. On so many ocassions the training was booked for them to cancel and for it not to go ahead. I would recommend looking deeply into this as this will be a massive issue for you to keep new and talented people with the company whether it's for new starters or existing employees that want to add to the skills they already have. No atmosphere, no fun and not sure if they actually have a culture.

It is clear that this review has been written by someone unhappy with their experience. This is a shame given that most of the people here at Qubit have a very high opinion of the organisation, love working here, and are proud of the culture. We value employee feedback, and when issues are raised at Qubit, we look to solve them. We constantly refine and evaluate on onboarding training at Qubit, and receive great feedback about this process. Qubit still a growth stage start-up, so our onboarding does involve self learning. This requires the attitude “if I don’t know something I will find it out” and if you approach it that way you will find 250 people here that can help you or point you in the right direction. We have plenty of training resources, both classroom and elearning, which are highlighted clearly during onboarding. It is up to the individual to attend these (although we appreciate it is frustrating if they are rescheduled from time to time). If someone joins Qubit from a larger organisation where everything was defined and given to them, we might not be the right match. We know this happens sometimes and it is best for both parties when they part ways. The comment on “no atmosphere, no fun and no culture” does not reflect my experience at Qubit, We are passionate about maintaining our culture as we grow, and work hard to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment. I haven’t worked somewhere that is as open and as enjoyable as this. People at Qubit engage with you at the drop of a hat. Yet like any relationship, you get out what you put in. Our approach with prospects is based on experience; the service and product that Qubit sell is relationship based and not license based. It is a slow enterprise sales cycle that needs care and attention. The “phone everybody in the organisation many times a day” approach might work in shorter cycles but not within the cycle we have here. This approach results in poor experience for prospects. Our approach has been updated for the modern sales person and the churn and burn approach to calls doesn’t work in a modern enterprise sales cycle. “That’s why the competition is always winning and why we are doing the odd deal every 3 months” is factually incorrect. The reviewer was here for less than 3 months and a number of deals happened during that period. We actually have a very high success rate against the competition. Qubit clearly wasn’t the right fit in this case, and I wish the reviewer the best in finding a more suitable role. If you (a job applicant reading this) are considering a job here please come and talk to us and realise that the comments in this review are not representative of Qubit. It is a great place to work and I will happily talk this through with anyone thinking of working here.

Pros

- Above market rate salaries (beware-- this is to make sure no one quits) - Nice offices and locations internationally - Generally smart employees (especially in Client Services and Engineering side) - Amazing perks and travel - Interesting product and well-built but no one can afford it or is willing to pay what they are charging

Cons

** You should know, because no one else has posted about it: Qubit just had a massive layoff (30+ people) and has extremely high turnover YOY. There is no loyalty here and layoffs weren't even indicators of performance. Sales are promised high reward but fired within 6 months if they haven't closed anything. Sales are stagnant. I do not recommend this company at this time because there is no job security and stress is currently very high-- I hope this will change! - The people - As stated above, the pay is really high, but this is to trap employees. No one really quits, because they could never find another company to match what they made at Qubit - ** Sexual harassment here is terrible, and its from the top down. Most unprofessional work place and sexual harassment is swept under the rug or the person making the complaints is put on a performance plan then fired. I personally witnessed this happening in my first few months at Qubit and it was extremely unethical - Most unprofessional place I have ever worked and constant fear of being fired - Very difficult to move up, little to no internal mobility on most teams - Sales team is full of entirely self-centered people who would throw each other under the bus without a second thought-- stealing accounts, completely unsupportive, toxic place

Hi, Thank you for your open and honest review. We’ve taken on board your feedback and have shared with the relevant people internally. As a fast-growing company, we’re aware that we’re not going to get everything perfect first time and we’re continually assessing and reassessing the policies and procedures in place to ensure every aspect of the business operation is as good as it can be. The recent restructure, which we publicly announced, was one such measure that will allow us to continue to grow responsibly. Qubit takes a zero-tolerance approach to any form of unwanted behavior, promoting a safe environment for employees to discuss and (where necessary) report these issues. As part of this, we have created anonymous reporting channels for any sort of harassment, and any complaints are dealt with swiftly. Our team is the most important asset to the business and we want to be able to attract and retain top global talent. This is highlighted by our high employee retention rates across the business. As stated above, your feedback has been fully acknowledged and will be discussed in our next management meeting. Thank you, Qubit People Ops.
