Pros
Pros are that the pay is decent, however they will try to nickel and dime you into a lower pay group if you work for a smaller plant then what the bigger plants make.
Cons
Way to much corporate bureaucracy, like seriously listen to me potential new hires if you hate the corporate bureaucracy you will absolutely hate! Hate! This company. They broke off from Aleris international " read reviews on that company also" and they act like a a bigger company then they are. "they are about 1.5 B a year" They have more policies, agendas and "corporate initiatives" then 90 billion dollar companies iv worked for! They give plants unrealistic expectations and will crucify you in front of the whole company, world wide if you don't meet the expectations. They will expect you to do the work of 3-4 people and I know this because I'm now working for a new company and the things I did there that caused me endless amounts of stress and sleepless nights at Real Alloy / Aleris is now divided up by 4 different people in my department! Corporate has legit like 30 different managers non of which will ever help you do anything dispute them saying they are there to help you, and lastly you will have at least 12 different bosses and each one will ask you to do work for them that's totally different then the person who is actually suposed to be your boss. I learned a lot from this company because I did the job of 4 people but at what cost, this company gave me insomnia and a drinking problem! They few years I worked for them was seriously horrible. I loved the people at the plant level I worked with but everyday I dreaded communications with my corporate bosses! Seriously folks not worth it,
