Do not work here as an RN
Pros
Friendly staff Staff try to help when they can
Cons
Management ignored my request to have orientation days in other wings They chuck you in the deep end working at an unfamiliar environment (very unsafe) Everything seems to be too rushed and busy, RN to resident ratio is UNSAFE! You need a med comp HCA to get CDs or DS drugs signed off but they are also in a rush to finish their task so RNs are also pressured (UNSAFE) Unorganised Very little support to new staff, when I first started they just gave me two orientation days, one being a tour of the facility with HS manager, and the other in the hospital wing. After that I was basically left on my own. Management ignored my messages to request for more orientation days Very little career development opportunities I also work with the agency so I have been to other resthomes as well, Radius is the worst one I have ever worked in so far.
