      A Dark Place

      None come to mind for the time I spent here.

      Cons

      Customers & Employees sit far behind the very few who plan to sell the business. Which breeds deceit, false promises and an erratic management style. Software development is understaffed, poorly planned and short term. Sales is about setting unrealistic targets, setting people to fail and then putting unfair amounts of pressure on. Many of the business functions have no guidance or support from the management team. Various people have been cut from the business to reduce costs and this is causing pressure on others. Systems and infrastructure is poorly funded which is evident in dated, flimsy not fit for purpose technology.

      Company is in transition, but definitely going in the right direction

      Pros

      Despite being 30 years old Red Box really feels like a tech start-up: lots of new hires and new product innovation. The owners brought in a new CEO a couple of years ago and in turn he has brought in a new leadership team, so lots of changes but all for the better.

      Cons

      I read the negative reviews on this website before joining Red Box 9 months ago, and in the end I discounted most of them because they seemed to represent the personal opinion of a few disgruntled individuals. Every company has growing pains during transition, and if you're averse to change then this probably isn't the place for you, but if you have good ideas you can air them here and really make a change.

      I'm sat here struggling to think of a single plus, but there is literally none that come to mind.

      Cons

      Awful management, unrealistic targets and a terrible working atmosphere. I cannot sum up just how bad this place has become and the direction it's headed. If you take one thing from this review just please, please avoid. Management have stooped so low that they have resorted to posting ficticious positive reviews, and sending emails out to staff actively encouraging this behaviour. There is huge change at the moment due to a new CEO, but it is a volatile time and things are not improving. Do not let them persuade you any different, they talk good spiel just to get you in the door.
