Don't claim to be integrated when you're not.

Pros

Being part of the Havas umbrella does have its perks - regular socials (pre-covid) and just lotsa free drinks/snacks/townhalls etc. Worked on some great accounts with overall, a good bunch of blokes.

Cons

The wider team wasn't friendly and/or good at welcoming new peeps. The vibes were clear - if you're not my type, you can't sit with me. Felt like high school all over again. Immature. None of the accounts were integrated even though they said they had it and even borderline were dishonest about it during the interview process.

Don't go near the London office

Pros

Part of the Havas network

Cons

The London office is the fakest PR agency in the UK. They lie in applications for awards and accolades, meanwhile the work is terrible, they pitch for clients using case studies from other offices or the content team, that the people in London haven't actually worked on, and the team are miserable due to the culture of bullying from senior people. They work everyone beneath management level into the ground for completely unfair wages, meanwhile the people at the top with several bullying complaints against them keep getting promoted. Other examples of indecent behaviour include, but aren't limited to: screaming, throwing things, forcing the team to be in the office during lockdown restrictions and showing no compassion to staff facing traumatic life events. It's a small team so there is nowhere to hide - there isn't a single person below management level who has stuck around, and with low wages and no one to learn from there are really no pros to working here.

Pros

Free drinks on Fridays and nice office location

Cons

Gaslighting, heavy work loads (leaving office at 10pm not uncommon), management who don’t care about the people just about looking better for higher ups. Very cliquey and nepotism ran wild
