Pros

Flexible working time and nice colleagues when you avoid the management level.

Cons

The management is amateurs at best. They don't communicate and have no clue what they make decisions about. Micromanagement all the way on all levels. And now they announced that they close down a business area after spending just a year building it up. Overall, they do everything they can to make sure the stock goes up in a short term, even it means to destroy the long-term goals. The company is slowly being killed. Don't buy their stock and do not join them. The company has been impacted by covid but the founder doesn't believe that COVID is real and started the year sending out company mail wide mail that COVID is a hoax. Do you really want to work for a company with those owners? Im trying to get out as fast as possible.

Pros

Ease of gaining exposure in different areas. Able to transition cross-functionally even without being limited by lack of relevant qualifications or experience. Good work-life balance as there is relatively little overtime.

Cons

Lack of accountability and ownership by task owners. Wrong people approached and assigned responsibilities that are not typically associated with similar roles in other companies. Company lacks a clear stand on whether it wants to drive a centralised (corporate) or decentralised model. This results in misaligned and sometimes contradictory practices and messages in its processes and policies.

Pros

Flexibility and trust the employees will complete the job no matter where you are.

Cons

Don't even dream of promotion once you hit senior position. Once you hit senior position. You might need to wait a decade or more to next level (if you lucky). The promotion is came from business need and is not based on your ability. More managements level compare to fresh graduate.
