Fast tracked growth, Areas of Improvement
Pros
Amazing, supportive team with lack of ego to uplift each other. Lower-level employees are collaborative, open to change and looking for opportunities to improve their work and workflow. Lots of opportunity for fast tracked growth to expand your skill set. In a start-up setting, there's a lot of room to work cross functionally with different teams. Senior management recognizes flaws and has a want to improve. With the past year of change and lots of sale, the company is in a good position for growth with more insight in how to lead campaigns with more structure.
Cons
Lack of trust and communication from senior management. Micromanaging of time in office when productivity or quality of work wasn't in question. The claim to a fun, chill work environment is created by the lower-level team. The office culture is shifted around upper management. Lack of vision and planning for marketing campaigns. Communication to lower-level team seemed short sighted and created rushed deadlines. At times there was a sense of incompetence in how to apply data and sales initiatives or it was a fixation of numbers. This would sometimes create unnecessary stress on the team trying to appease the seniors. Lack of training and resources from managers to grow successfully. While every employee can take initiative and take on more responsibility to climb in their position, it's often without managerial expertise. Senior management was disconnected from the team emotionally and created an impersonal barrier that made the team feel unsupported and unappreciated. This came from seniors having too much on their plates to be able to build relationships, trust and respect with the lower level team. And in tandem, benefits were below average. Poor health/vision/dental insurance with little coverage and no 401k matching. PTO is average, but accrued slowly, few holidays recognized, barely any sick time, and no mental health days recognized.
