Pros

Ability to learn how a library runs, great experience, fun opportunities and abilities to next work. Rewarding work but has downsides.

Cons

Rampant favoritism. HR is awful and alot of people get away with poor behavior. You also have to deal with insane treatment by the general public.

Pros

Helping your community, amazing coworkers, fun opportunities with programming and book displays, lots to do all the time

Cons

Micromanaging, not supported by HR/admin, strict guidelines for decorations with displays and signage, easy burnout when you give 110% and receive 0 raises or acknowledgment, zero internal growth
