      Great place to be from

      Pros

      Remote workers get to do their job with very little micro-management by direct supervisors. That is until the end of quarter when panic sets in when it becomes apparent that no goals are going to be hit. Then senior management starts hunting for scapegoats and if you are not in head office then watch out.

      Cons

      There is no training provided and due to lack of growth there is no career development. For the past few years there have been no raises, no bonuses, no 401k matching. The culture used to be very supportive and all the parts of the business worked as a team. Now it is just a blame game between managers so that they can dodge the bullet for poor performance that quarter and someone else gets fired instead.

      Pros

      - You are treated as an adult - The best idea wins, there is virtually no hierarchy in this business - A growing business means new opportunities and global mobility - Work/Life blending means that if you want to go to the gym or do some personal errands you have the flexibility to do so whenever you want as long as you deliver your work on time - see point one. - The people.

      Cons

      - Never enough time in the day - With global operations finding a convenient time for meetings between multiple regions is a challenge so make sure you are flexible with your availability if you work outside the USA. - don't work here if you are not elite and the best at what you do, there is nowhere to hide, unlike in a large enterprise.

      Pros

      Unfortunately, There are no pros that come with working here in my experience. Honestly. It is a paycheck, albeit a very low one for this industry and position.

      Cons

      Low pay for industry, no real career path, only promote yes men and friends, if you question anything you are looked at poorly. They do not like free thinkers who question poor decisions. Director and Management is extremely unexperienced and do not know how to manage people. The products are very outdated. Having purchased most of their software from other companies, none of the products work well together. They keep trying to bring in new partners when they should be focused on building and developing a suite of products that actually works together. They are way behind the competition.
