Pros

Good place to gain experience, good opportunities to travel, free medical and dental.

Cons

The cons are slowly out weighing the positives in this job, and it is now becoming just a job and no longer a career or vocation. The general attitude of the higher ranking officers is that all is well, that is not the case, every good young airman that comes along and begins to prove himself will often leave and go on to bigger and better things. usually paid more money for less hours work and a stable family life. They have even rather insultingly offered retention bonuses that are completely out of line with an expected figure and only benefited the guys who had already made a decision to stay in. I could go on but no one will actually listen and it will continue to get worse
