Putting the Cart before the Horse, Hire and Fire, Clueless HR
Pros
- Some (not all) of the teams are collaborative - I met motivated collagues, but they are all let down by a lack of strategy resulting in mass confusion - Entrenched core Expense product, everything else is ancillary
Cons
Ole boys' club, frogs in the well. - The old-timers think just because they have been with the company for 10+ years (or even 2+ years in those emerging regions), that they know it all. Get out of your wells! Wait, I don't think you even realized you are in a well. - Management (Sr. Director & above) is extremely guarded in the information that they share, thinking they are the privileged ones, and the minions should be restricted in access to this information. A lot of ass-lickers at this layer who knows nothing about management or leadership. - Many of these old-timers would have trouble getting a job outside of Concur, in the event of the upcoming integration with SAP. - HR is totally inept and a great disservice, Recruiting team is sub-par. Stop posting fake glowing 5* GD reviews here as I know the flood will come, after genuine 2/3* reviews are posted. - Concur wants to behave like those Unicorns (Uber, AirBnB) or Google, but has a history of putting the cart before the horse and exhibit zero class in pulling it off (if you think you can pull it off in the first place). This is evident from the recruiting process itself (5, 6 rounds of interviews) where the Mgmt prides itself on being "selective", but its just a groupthink of frogs in the well. Go ahead and be selective, top performers still prefer SFDC, AirBnB and Google over you. Even SAP is a better compromise than joining Concur. - Concur is very hire-and-fire, I have seen colleagues joining for 2 weeks and let go just because of a 'change in org structure'. 2 weeks! Congrats on destroying someone's career due to you ignorant frogs.
