      Fun culture and working with Smart people!

      Pros

      Strait is very picky on recruiting and they only hire top candidates who have the good performance and fit the culture. Everyone works efficiently and helps each other in this company. Strait has fun culture and work environment. A variety of snacks, soda, tea and coffee are offered. The company also has the Beer time every Friday afternoon. Strait also offers great benefits, e.g. 21 days PTO, 9.5 holidays, 401 K match, maternity leave and etc.

      Cons

      Due to rapid growing, there are some changing or uncertain policies.

      Welcoming with great benefits but needs middle management improvement

      Pros

      Competitive pay and benefits. Very welcoming to new hires and have a nicely structured onboarding training program for the first several days with frequent formal check-ins. They do a good job of celebrating people through anniversary and birthday shout outs, wedding and baby showers. On-site location is nice and clean.

      Cons

      With recently being acquired there have been several hiccups in processes and technology. Mix bag as far as the culture and depends on the pod you are placed in. Hard to feel connected to other team members outside your pod. Communication with upper management is capped at your pod's controller. Director is not involved. Controller doesn't relay information down to senior and fund accountants. With WFH due to COVID, would be nice to see flexibility on work schedule. Echo another reviewer on work being repetitive.
