Lack of diversity and gossiping made it hard to feel included
Pros
-Free lunch was nice -when you traveled meals were usually paid for -casual dress -nice food for occasional celebrations
Cons
-the environment lacks diversity as the managers and president are all Caucasian. Even though the founders are immigrants and have put a lot of work into the company, it seems that passing it on to a majority of American blondes is taunting the inclusion -really poor benefits with no 401k or paid maternity which is unfortunate as two employees had their babies and came back super quickly -one of the owners tends to be a bit controversial with his jokes and makes a lot of people uncomfortable -using their “token” POC as shields for any racial topics -the culture is outright full of gossip especially in the creative departments that are all women. It makes it feel like high school and you can not trust that your manager won’t tell everyone else at the company. There is no real discretion especially if your feedback doesn’t make management look good - promotions go to friends rather than hard working employees and those lower employees are doing all of the actual work for managers -anything you say, can and will be used against you by managers. There are so many calls that are talking about others -the company is very scared of its franchisees and literally bends over backwards for their crazy and unethical requests instead of training them
