I was a GM

Pros

The product was decent! There was good brand recognition and pretty good customer feedback! Open kitchen format is nice for interaction with customers!

Cons

Pay was very low, I made $13.00 as a general manager! Hours were terrible, I was mandated 55 hours a week, usually worked 65 to 70! When I left I was working open to close 6 days a week! Bonus was impossible to attain because the two GMs before me cheated the systems and fudged the numbers! Trying to do things above board will never earn bonus!

Welcome to hell

Pros

You will have a greater appreciation for your free time and this job will force you to grow as a person. You will also learn what its like to do everything the hard way.

Cons

Terribly long hours, constantly being understaffed, consistent call outs, completely unorganized upper management that constantly sends you contradictory messages, director of operations or DO's are consistently rude and will berate you. Long conference calls that accomplish nothing besides giving the Dog's an opportunity to yell at everyone in their market at the same time. They literally have a safery newsletter with pictures of employees not following safety regulations or dress code policies and they are managers and safety ambassadors who are supposed to ensuring that these things do not happen. There is tons of paperwork and no time to do it it's almost like they do it intentionally so when they are done with you they can fire you for not filling out the proper paperwork.
