      Great talent, terrible company

      Pros

      - at Sendcloud I met some of the best people and friends I met over the course of my career - lots of space to implement your own projects (has a downside mentioned below) - good company to kickstart your career

      Cons

      - your ideas get implemented or praised only if they’re 100% in line with what the founders think right away. Anything outside the status quo is shunned: recently some very high-profile hires were fired after only a few weeks for this very reason. - for a company that claims to be ‘no bullshit’, it is absolutely very bullshitty. Very little transparency from basically everyone in and around the founders clique. - so much politics and gossip! Feels very high school at times. Sure, fun parties and pleasant casual environment, but the atmosphere is very provincial and ‘we’re-a-family-owned-business’ for a company that claims to be a powerhouse in e-commerce.

We are sorry to hear that you feel there is very little transparency, as this is (as you well know) something that is extremely important to us. Regarding your advice to management, we completely agree that acting professionally is a critical aspect of working at Sendcloud. We value real, actionable feedback and are committed to improving transparency and limiting gossip among all levels of our company, including upper management and the c-suite. We appreciate your suggestion to find actually qualified employees who can bring different ideas to the table.       Lack of job security at the company

      Pros

      The company is fast-growing and the diversity of the company is a big plus. Because most of the people at the company are youngsters, the energy at Sendcloud is quite awesome! It is a great fit for anyone moving countries for a job as you can easily settle down and even have a good social network.

      Cons

      - It is chaotic to work at Sendcloud, it is great from the outside but quite messy from the inside. -Because of the pace at which the company is growin , it is hiring extensively but also letting go off people in a very short time as extensively. - The management is still very young and clearly lacks experience in dealing with the growing pace of the company. Sendcloud has troubles setting expectationsn for their employees and what they expect is very unclear however at the same time they seem to expect a lot.

      Great people under bad management

      Pros

      Nice people working here, hybrid work model and generous compensations for expats.

      Cons

      No(thing, but) bullsh*t. Core values are fake, management act far away from transparent, communication is bad and it feels like they don't really care about it. They also organised parties and kept fridges full of beer while having a lay-off which is beyond my understanding.
