Pros

If you’re good at making friends, and I mean really good at making friends then that part of working here may be nice. The company does allow for many social activities and they give good hardware like headsets and MacBooks etc.

Cons

The cons largely outweigh the pros. The software written at this company is truly awful, junior level delivery. Written by mostly senior level engineers who struggle with problems that have rather obvious solutions that could easily be found if they read the docs, a textbook or asked AI. However the senior devs here are also quite stubborn, and go through their day pretending to be a lot smarter than they really are. Genuinely, text book problems from university pop up in this codebase, and these could have easily been solved if only members of the team did any reading.

Pros

They provide great equipment. Maintaining a positive image is very important for this company and they make an effort to appear to be good. They really put a lot of effort into this.

Cons

Multiple new hires across different departments have not passed probation. This is because it's the company is a closed circle. Before accepting a job offer at Sendmarc. Here are the things they won't tell you. Your success will rely entirely on your culture fit and whether you can make it into the closed circle of employees that all have years of history working with the company founders at a previous company (Everlytic). These long standing employees aren't exactly social butterflies. They have a lot of weird quirks, for example; 1 person will use work meetings to go on a 20 - 30 minute tangent about the most arbitrary topics like Santa Claus, or US laws on companies which have no relation to the intended agenda of the meeting. Making it through probation at Sendmarc will include that you learn to enjoy these quirky, long diverges in topic. Your skills don't matter. In fact, having skills will count against you as long term employees (who aren't managers) will micro manage and scrutinise decisions and use the "I've been here longer than you" card to put an end any possible feedback you may have. Even if you have a legitimate lesson to teach. They don't like AI. The AI revolution is taking the world by storm, but employees at this company do not like AI and have largely negative views on AI. Having positive views on AI will put you at odds of not making it into their closed circle. The dislike for AI does align with the fact that they aren't open to feedback not even from an automated tool.
