      Top performer fired by insecure managers

      Pros

      Startup environment where you can use any tool for the job. Pleasant and easy to work at. Marketing is good.

      Cons

      I was the only person who understood what the team is doing. I've built all our tooling. In the end I was let go by an insecure manager who was afraid I'll take over his role. Incompetence is present in every team at this place, and it will only get worse with time.

      It's all marketing...

      Pros

      It's a fun place to work though, the work is easy and environment is friendly. You won't get too tired.

      Cons

      The company was able to position itself among "market leaders" and raise billions pretty much all thanks to marketing. The technology foundations are very weak as compared to competition (even small players). It is not a place for ambitious people. The technical staff is lousy, and management is weak. Many great people leave quickly after they realise what this place is during probation.

      Forced out by incompetent management and HR

      Pros

      Looked great on paper but management is just handed off to people with no track record. work-life balance is great specially for the Cons on the job.

      Cons

      - Lack of diversity in everything. - Hire incompetent senior managers - Quiet fire people on the ground who worked their lives off and brought deals . The incompetent can make themselves look good - the incompetent then reward themselves as well at the cost of those who did do the work and also go our of the way to wipe the achievements of the performers. - Even told, you have no future here as your performance is lacking, despite bringing the biggest sales and numbers in near-zero support which cannot be denied. Do you really want to run a company like this?
